When an accident occurs in your workplace, do you know what to do in order to prevent a reoccurence ? Are you able to determine what causes accidents? In collaboration with the Industrial Accident Prevention Association (IAPA), we are offering this course to help you conduct effective investigations.

The investigation of accidents and incidents (near hits) involves the methodical examination of an undesired event that did, or could result in physical harm to people, damage to property or loss to process. Investigation activities are directed toward defining the facts and circumstances related to the event, determining the causes and developing remedial actions to control the risks.

To prevent recurrences of accidents, you need to uncover the underlying causes. In this one day course, practice proven accident investigation techniques and choose the best corrective actions, learn your legal requirements under the Quebec Act respecting occupational health and safety, and apply proper investigative techniques to avoid repeating the human and financial costs of an accident.
